When someone registers on your site with the e-mail address stillenmax@hotmail.com, eyebrows raise and questions start to be asked. It was fairly obvious from the start that Stu Burton's car would have a few bits that the factory never actually intended, but when I got a sheaf of photos through the post, my jaw definitely slipped down a little! Enough words, check this beast out!

You might at this point have noticed the spoilers, skirts and HUGE wheels. Further inspection might show that it sits a little lower than you might expect. For that you can thank:

Somehow this looks a little bit north of factory fit as well. You can see the Greddy tail pipe, but you can't see the custom Y pipe or the cat removal extension pipe. Stu finds this runs the car lean so he popped in a fuel pressure riser and custom ECU to get it all straight again.

Under the bonnet, you can probably spot the Stillen Strut brace and the fat intake, but you might miss the underdrive pulley. You won't however miss the modified meshed grille and BMW headlamp conversion.

Just in case you thought these beasts might not work, you'd be wrong! I could be wrong but I think I'm spotting some illuminated corners here as well. Nice!

With all this work going on you'd expect something from the brakes. Stu doesn't disappoint with these train stopping slotted drilled discs and goodridge braided hoses. These are lovingly wrapped by a whopping 18 inch Khan 5 spoke wearing 215/40/18 rubber. Slimmer than a wasp's waist with all the sting! Notice also the cute touch of the clear oval side repeater - not a trick is missed!

It would be a tragedy to leave the rears, so here you can see the same level of attention. Nice.
I'd have to say that the modification of cars is something you either like or you don't. Expressing an opinion, I prefer my cars as they come, but seeing what Stu has managed with his 92 SEL carrying 170k(!) I realise that maybe even I could be turned!
Stu has plans for the future which we won't talk about, as I wouldn't want to FORCE the issue, BOOST his overdraft or even put POSITIVE PRESSURE on him, so I'll leave that to your imagination! For now however, I encourage Stu to sit on his laurels for a short while as we pay homage to a job well done. Stu, maxima.org.uk salutes you!
Never happy to let the grass grow under his feet, Stu decided that a respray was in order. He started mulling his old colour with a nice gold flap, but then had a fleeting moment of creativity in the paint shop and ordered up this natty sky blue/gold flip combo.

The bonnet vents are new, but that's not all the changes. A sneaky peek inside shows a sexy new steering wheel and a remodelling of the interior colour scheme.

There's more changes under the bonnet as well. A spot of nice painting, and a bit of heat protection are making things look good. The holes in the bumper for the headlight wipers have been filled and sprayed too. And Stu has invested in a new header tank to get rid of those oily marks...Nice!

Moving round to the back, things are looking well there too!

Just to cap it all, here's a massive shot of Stu's car that you can save by right clicking on it and use as wallpaper!
